MRS. JEMIMA LLEWELYN

SPANISH FORK, Utah. -- Mrs. Jemima Christmas Llewellyn, widow of Edward Llewellyn, died Saturday afternoon at her home, after an illness of several months from a complication of troubles. She was born June 1, 1856 in Llanelly, South Wales. Her parents were William and Elizabeth Roach Christmas. With them she came to this country, arriving in Spanish Fork, July 6, 1869. The family was prominent in the upbuilding of the young settlement. In her early womanhood she married Edward Llewellyn and they made their permanent home. Mr. Llewellyn died four years ago. She was a faithful Latter-day Saint and she was active in church work. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jemima Hales, principal of the Reese school; Mrs. Florence Morgan and one son Edward, all of Spanish Fork, also one brother, Luther Christmas; two sisters, Mrs. John E. Bowen and Mrs. Rosetta Flavel, all of this city. Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the first ward chapel, with Bishop Arthur McKell in charge. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork cemetery.
